LOS ANGELES—The L.A. Hotel Downtown will debut as the Hyatt Regency Los Angeles Downtown in May.

The property will undergo a $20-million renovation including all 419 guestrooms and 72 suites, public spaces and corridors, meeting and event spaces, business and fitness centers, concierge lounge, restaurants and lobby.

The new design will utilize a color palette of bright reds, crisp oranges and rich beiges, as well as a minimalistic approach. The guestrooms and suites will feature new carpet, wall treatments, drapery, bedding and furnishings, as well as upgraded bathrooms and work areas.

The Shenzhen New World Group owns the property, and Interstate Hotels & Resorts manages it.
