Starwood Capital Names Rohm SH Group President

GREENWICH, CT—Starwood Capital Group named C. Scott Rohm as president of SH Group, Starwood Capital’s hotel brand management company that oversees the development and launch of the group’s two new luxury and lifestyle hotel and residence brands, Baccarat Hotels and 1 Hotels & Resorts.

Rohm will oversee the operations of the SH Group managed hotels, including development, operations, sales, finance, accounting and human resources.

Rohm brings nearly 30 years of hospitality experience to SH Group. Most recently he was president of Turnberry Hotel Group. Prior roles include SVP/operations for West Paces Hotel Group (currently Capella Hotel Group), VP/operations for The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Co. and positions with Hyatt Hotels & Resorts.

The company is preparing to launch the two hotel brands, with five hotel openings slated over the next 24 months, including:  Baccarat Hotel & Residences New York: Baccarat Hotel Rabat, Morocco; 1 Hotel & Residences South Beach, FL; 1 Hotel Central Park, NY; and 1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge Park, NY.
