BLUFFTON, SC—The Inn at Palmetto Bluff, an Auberge Resort, set in the 20,000-acre resort community and conservation preserve of Palmetto Bluff, revamped its 50 guest cottages.
Designed by J Banks Design Group, the renovation is consistent with the property’s Lowcountry architecture and design elements that pay homage to the area’s historic roots. All guest cottage suites now feature pull-out sofas; drop-leaf tables for more intimate in-room dining experiences; 56-inch, high-definition televisions; reupholstered outdoor furniture for the private porches; chairs and ottomans that have customized textiles and new rugs.
Each cottage is now equipped with an iPad to allow guests to communicate with hotel personnel to secure restaurant reservations or sign-up for on-property activities and send e-postcards. The new tech-savvy cottages align with The Inn’s commitment to remaining eco-friendly by eliminating all paper communication with guests while in-room.
On-site transportation for guests also has been upgraded and each cottage comes complete with top-of-the-line bikes fitted with customized baskets and lights, ideal for exploring the property.
The Inn’s general manager is Marty Wall.
