PONCE, PUERTO RICO—In celebration of its 20th anniversary and as part of its “Younger than Ever” marketing campaign, the Hilton Ponce Golf & Casino Resort is in the process of investing $2.5 million into a renovation.

The upgrades includes outdoor leisure facilities, casino upgrades, nightlife options, golf enhancements and a sustainability project to reduce energy consumption.

A new playground, kid’s pool, water slide, splash park, 18-hole mini golf course and activity center have already been completed. The 255-room resort also offers new beach day beds, poolside cabanas, lounge chairs, a sun deck and Jacuzzi. Pool area sidewalks, lighting and shower stations were also renovated.

The Costa Caribe Casino, which has extended 24/7 hours, received new slot machines, while the Costa Caribe Golf & Country Club debuted a new convenience store, outdoor terrace and golf course enhancements. A new golf cart fleet will be available in 2013.

Next year, the resort will open a South Beach-style lounge and club and unveil a redesign of the lobby bar. This will integrate nearly 6,000 sq. ft. of entertainment space.

The sustainability project, scheduled for completion in 2013, consists of new cooling towers, solar panels and other power-saving features.

Last year, the resort made a similar investment to revitalize guestrooms, dining options, meeting rooms and recreation facilities.
