MONTREAL, QUEBEC—The Omni Mont-Royal here has begun a $20 million renovation.
Led by New York-based design firm Champalimaud, the renovation will incorporate a style inspired by the city's artistic ambiance blended with modern materials, colors and textures. The project includes a new French-inspired lobby lounge with a new restaurant concept. A curtain wall of windows will extend over a number of floors to bring natural light into the public spaces.
The renovation of the hotel's 299 guestrooms and suites, lobby and food and beverage outlets is slated for completion in June. Its meeting and event spaces will be redesigned this fall with new furnishings and updated technology.
