Gettys Promotes Welborn

Welborn has been chosen to lead Gettys' design operations throughout the Americas.

CHICAGO—Gettys, based here, has promoted Daniel Welborn to lead its design operations throughout the Americas.

In his new role, Welborn will join the firm’s senior leadership team, and will be responsible for sharing design processes, products and design culture across all of Gettys’ U.S. studios.

Welborn joined the company in 2003 as a senior project designer in the office here. He then opened the Irvine, CA office in 2006. He has worked with major brands including Hyatt, Marriott and Starwood, and he has participated in the U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED advisory group for the hospitality industry.
